HU Guoquan, male, born in 1968, Ph.D. the Professor and Deputy Director General of Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He is mainly engaged in the research of anaerobic microorganisms, microbial resources and environment technology and biogas fermentation process. HU had earned a Master degree from Agricultural University of Southwest in 1995 and a doctor degree from Sichuan University and was hired as the tertiary outstanding talent of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2004, a City-level Second Prize for Progress in Science and Technology in 2005 and a Provincial-level Second Prize in 2012. Hu was served as a vice chairman of biogas Standardization Technical Committee in China, a member of China Biogas Association and a project consultant expert of China Rural Energy Construction (Phase II), as well as a deputy director of the Sichuan Biogas Technology Engineering Center, a member of Sichuan Microbial Ecology Society and hold the post of the evaluation expert of international cooperation project in the Ministry of Science and Technology. HU was also the expert on technical projects and achievements evaluation of the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Administration / the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs / National Postdoctoral Foundation.

HU has hosted more than 30 cooperation projects of national, provincial and international level, published more than 30 papers, edited and in the preparation of 3 monographs. Recently representative subjects: the Eleventh Five-Year scientific and technological support sub-project (pig farm biogas fermentation process, device integration and demonstration in in the east Sichuan), the Eleventh Five-Year scientific and technological support sub-project (the high-yield biogas technology integration demonstration with mixed raw materials), the National 863 Key Project Sub-project (low-temperature biogas production and industrial use of technology), the Development Project of Research Institutes of Ministry of Science and Technology (key technologies and related products of biogas fermentation in Tibetan plateau cold area), the provincial projects such as the ratio of biogas raw materials in plateau region - cultivation of excellent strains in plateau, the efficient biogas fermentation technical research and integration and demonstration of key technology in Sichuan Province, the biogas technology integration and demonstration of pluripotent complementary thermoelectric fertilizer in Qinghai, the Three Gorges Project ecological and environmental monitoring system in Wuqiao River primary station, and a special scientific research fund of agriculture public welfare profession in terms of centralized biogas supply integrated technology and supporting equipment research and demonstration.
