SHI Guozhong, male, born in 1962, the Professor and bachelor of Engineering, graduated from Nanjing Tech University, civil engineering in 1984, Deputy Director of Biogas Engineering Research Center of Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture (BIOMA) and the chief expert for the Innovation Team of Decentralized Processing of Rural Domestic Waste, as well as a tertiary outstanding talent of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The research field of SHI is ranging from rural energy, decentralized processing technology of rural domestic to the design and research of biogas projects. And SHI is the third completed author of “Biogas processing mode and technology research and application of poultry fecal residue” project, which was awarded Provincial-level First Prize for Progress in Science and Technology in 2009. Hosted international scientific and technological cooperation projects such as the research on key technology of biogas fermentation and equipment cooperation( Sino-German cooperation), and participated in the new efficient scale biogas project “biogas demonstration of standard biogas slurry treatment in Southern mountain area” under The Eleventh Five Year Plan of Ministry of Science and Technology and key program “comprehensive utilization of rural biomass” under The Eleventh Five Year Plan of China. SHI has also undertaken some teaching tasks of biogas technology training course, giving a lecture on design and construction of large and medium-sized biogas projects as well as the technology of rural household hydraulic biogas digester. And SHI is the authors of some agricultural industrial standards, including “Construction and acceptance rules for biogas projects”, “Classification of biogas projects”, “Construction regulations of domestic sewage purification biogas digester” and an author of national standard as “Technical manual of large and medium-sized biogas projects”. SHI has published many academic papers in the key magazines of China technology.
