Dai Lichun

Dr. Lichun Dai is a Research Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). He is selected for the CAAS special support for Agricultural Science Talents, and as a Reserve Candidate for Sichuan Province Academic and Technical Leaders. He has been consistently included in Stanford University's list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists. Currently, he serves as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Environmental Chemistry, an editorial board member for Scientific Reports and Biochar X, a youth editorial board member for Biochar and Carbon Research, a committee member of the Agricultural Resources, Environment, and Energy Engineering branch of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, and a council member of the Sichuan Youth Federation for Science and Technology. His research focuses on the high-value conversion and utilization of biomass (e.g., crop straw), with key areas including the development of biomass-based functional materials and the use of functional deep eutectic solvents to mediate biomass valorization. In recent years, he has led more than 10 research projects, including CAAS’s Agricultural Science Talent Special Support Program, National Natural Science Foundation funding, Sichuan Province's Key R&D Program, as well as industry collaborations. He has published over 60 SCI-indexed papers in journals such as Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials, Green Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry, secured 18 invention patents, co-authored two monographs, and received one Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
