The 6th meeting of the 8th Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) was held on January 17, 2016 in Beijing. The 9 Outstanding Doctoral Theses and 20 Excellent Master Degree Theses were selected by full discussion and secret ballot vote, and then went through the 30-day public comment period in Academy website.

Among them, Shui Zongxia, the graduate student of grade 2015 from BIOMA, her dissertation named Construction of Succinate-producing Recombinant Ethanologenic Zymomonas mobilis and its Application in Fermentation, guided by her tutor prof. He Mingxiong, was awarded as excellent master paper in CAAS.  And this paper was also published in the magazines of Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology and Chinese Journal of Applied and Environmental Biology.

The acquisition of the outstanding dissertation is not only an honor of the student herself,  but also an honor of the BIOMA. We hope that all of the students in BIOMA set her as an example, study hard and assiduously, continually improving and perfecting individual scientific research ability and comprehensive quality and turning into a social needed creative talent.
