On June 11, 2026, Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (BIOMA) held its commencement ceremony for the Class of 2026.

On behalf of the institute's leadership and all faculty and staff, Director General Meng Haibo extended warm congratulations to the graduates on the successful completion of their studies and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. He also expressed sincere appreciation to the supervisors for their dedicated mentorship and to all staff members for their hard work and support.

In his address, Meng emphasized that graduation marks not the end of striving but the beginning of a new journey. He encouraged graduates to embrace a strong sense of mission and responsibility, align their personal aspirations with national priorities such as carbon neutrality, ecological conservation, and rural revitalization, and contribute to addressing major scientific and technological challenges. He also urged them to remain diligent and pragmatic, uphold scientific integrity, and stay true to their original aspirations while advancing steadily in their careers. Meng concluded by reminding the graduates that BIOMA will always be their home and steadfast support, expressing his hope that they will continue pursuing excellence and contribute to China's ecological and energy development with youthful dedication, becoming distinguished representatives of the institute.

Speaking on behalf of all supervisors, Researcher Deng Liangwei congratulated the graduates on completing their studies and thanked them for their contributions to the institute's scientific research during their years at BIOMA. Drawing on his own experiences, he shared four expectations for the graduates: remain grounded and avoid impatience; commit to lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement; distinguish right from wrong while learning from those around them; and uphold integrity while observing laws and regulations. Referring to the 2026 Sichuan College Entrance Examination essay topic, he wished all graduates every success as they embark on their future endeavors.

Graduate representative Lei Tianlong reflected on his academic journey at BIOMA, expressing heartfelt gratitude to his supervisors for their patient guidance and to the institute for providing an excellent research platform and learning environment. He stated that after graduation he would carry forward the institute's expectations, remain dedicated to scientific research, work diligently, and repay the institute's cultivation through concrete contributions to society and the nation.
