To promote the deep integration of Party building and scientific research, and to enhance the quality and efficiency of straw comprehensive utilization through science and technology empowerment, the Party Branch of the Team of Straw Utilization of Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs organized all Party members and team members to visit Changheng Village, Jiuchi Town, Pengzhou on May 18, 2026, for a themed Party Day activity. The activity included four components: Party spirit education, technical training, product promotion, and science popularization visits. More than 50 participants attended, including officials responsible for straw burning prohibition and comprehensive utilization from towns and sub-districts of Pengzhou, as well as major crop growers, achieving resonance between Party-building leadership and scientific outreach.

 

Field Classroom — Understanding the “Foundation” of People’s Livelihoods in the Fields.

 

Changheng Village is a demonstration village for rural revitalization in Pengzhou, featuring beautiful rural landscapes and a profound farming culture. Walking through the fields, Party members learned about the local application and promotion of technologies such as scientific straw incorporation, soil moisture conservation and fertility enhancement, and eco-circular agriculture. Beside the field ridges, the Party branch organized an on-site “micro Party lecture,” focusing on discussions about “what constitutes real achievements” and “for whom achievements should be made.” Combining the realities of current agricultural production and straw comprehensive utilization promotion, participants gained a deeper understanding of the contemporary significance and practical requirements of establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements.

 

Technical Lecture — Delivering Agricultural Revitalization Technologies from the Podium.

 

In response to technical difficulties encountered in local straw comprehensive utilization efforts, the Party branch organized a special technical training session at Changheng Academy. Team members systematically introduced the significance of straw burning prohibition and controlled burning policies, relevant laws and regulations, and the “five-utilization” approaches for straw utilization. The training improved participants’ scientific understanding of transforming straw “from waste into valuable resources” through resource recycling and utilization.

Product Showcase — Demonstrating the “Achievements” of Technology Transfer beside the Fields.

The Party branch also displayed a series of core products independently developed by the Team of Straw Utilization, including straw decomposition agents, straw humus products, and bio-organic fertilizers. Through physical product displays, exhibition boards, and on-site presentations, the team introduced the functions, application methods, and practical benefits of the products to local major growers. Based on experimental demonstration data, Party members explained both the “ecological benefits” and “economic benefits,” enabling farmers to directly appreciate the cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing potential brought by scientific and technological achievements, and stimulating their enthusiasm for adopting new products.
