BIOMA Research Center for Renewable Energy Product Testing Technology Supports 2026 Sichuan Biogas Safety Training and Safe Decommissioning Demonstration in Bazhong
On June 17, the 2026 Sichuan Biogas Safety Production Training and Bazhong Biogas Project Safe Decommissioning Demonstration was held in Tongjiang, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province.

The Research Center for Renewable Energy Product Testing Technology provided full technical support for the safe decommissioning process of biogas projects. The Center participated in site selection and field reconnaissance, risk assessment, technical scheme development, safety inspection guidance, on-site technical briefing, and demolition operation guidance, thereby ensuring the smooth implementation of the activity with professional technical support.

At the training session, Dr. Lü Yanfeng delivered a thematic report entitled Low-Carbon Development Pathways for Agriculture and Rural Areas in Sichuan Province and New Missions for Rural Energy. Focusing on the requirements of green and low-carbon development under the “dual carbon” goals, she systematically analyzed key pathways for low-carbon agricultural development in Sichuan Province and elaborated on the new role of rural energy in supporting rural revitalization, agricultural emission reduction and carbon sequestration, improvement of rural living environments, and optimization of the energy structure.

At the on-site demonstration of biogas project decommissioning, Dr. Lü provided a detailed explanation of the entire safe disposal process, focusing on key stages including risk assessment, site safety perimeter setup, gas detection and ventilation, confined-space operation safety, equipment dismantling, material disposal, and emergency response. She highlighted critical technical procedures, operational requirements, and safety precautions.
Following the demonstration, Director Ran Yi provided a technical review of the on-site operation. He emphasized that biogas project decommissioning involves multiple risk points and requires a high level of technical expertise. It is essential to implement full-process risk control and whole-chain safety management, strictly enforce operational approval, ventilation and gas detection, personal protective measures, on-site supervision, and emergency preparedness to ensure standardized and safe execution of all procedures.
In recent years, the Research Center for Renewable Energy Product Testing Technology has provided technical guidance, training, outreach, and on-site services covering rural biogas safety operation, hazard identification and remediation, project decommissioning, confined-space operations, and emergency response. These efforts have significantly contributed to strengthening grassroots rural energy safety management capacity and promoting high-quality development of rural energy systems.
