During the preparation stage, staff members, drawing on their own experience in leading training groups, systematically identified various difficult and challenging issues encountered in their work and compiled them into written materials for submission to the speaker, ensuring the lecture was highly targeted and practical. In the lecture, Comrade Yi addressed the compiled list of issues and shared insights on several core topics in group management. These included maintaining a bottom-line mindset for comprehensive safety assurance; enhancing group cohesion and solidarity through effective management techniques; establishing a positive image through proper etiquette at key stages such as airport reception and send-off; achieving balanced and rational group arrangements; motivating participants through well-designed incentive and penalty mechanisms during field visits; skillfully resolving potential conflicts among participants through effective communication; and efficiently handling emergencies with standardized response procedures. Drawing on over 20 years of professional experience, Comrade Yi generously shared his practical expertise and proven methods in group leadership.

Notably, in light of industry trends and practical demands, Comrade Yi also encouraged all staff to make use of their spare time to participate in first-aid training programs organized by the Red Cross Society of China and obtain first-aid certification. He emphasized that mastering professional first-aid skills not only addresses capability gaps but also significantly enhances confidence and professionalism in responding to emergencies during group management. This is an important measure to ensure the safety of trainees and to uphold the reputation of the institute’s international assistance programs.

Following the lecture, participants engaged in active discussions with Comrade Yi. Attendees expressed that they were greatly inspired and had gained substantial practical knowledge, boosting their confidence in effectively managing training groups.

The successful organization of this themed Party Day activity achieved its intended goal of integrating Party building with professional practice, promoting learning through instruction, and translating learning into action. By closely linking the vanguard role of Party members with frontline operational skills, the activity further strengthened staff members’ awareness of safety responsibilities and their commitment to fulfilling their duties.
