May 5, 2015, Prof. Dohmann with his two colleagues from the Research Institute for Water and Waste Management (FiW) in Germany’s RWTH Aachen University and Prof. Yao Gang from the RWTH Aachen University visited BIOMA.

Delegation first visited Microbial Research Center and laboratory in Biomass Energy Technology Research Center and Biogas Engineering Research Center. And then, under the auspices of Director Deng Yu, the two sides conducted a meeting. Experts from BIOMA introduced the research field and job function of BIOMA, as well as the development trend of biogas in China. Germany experts presented the development status of the German biogas technology,biogas project planning and regulatory guidance. Both sides expressed their willingness to cooperate in the field of biogas, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention, hoping to exchange scholars and students between two institutes, conducting collaborative research on sludge treatment and inviting German experts to participate in the international conference organized by BIOMA and famous scholars as visiting professors, furthermore, recommending Germany as a third-party partner of FAO Biogas Research and Training centre.
