BIOMA Holds Closing Ceremony of Biogas Training Course for African Countries in 2015

 

African English-speaking Countries in 2015 was held at Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture (BIOMA) in Chengdu on July9. The course is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by BIOMA. Government representatives from Sichuan provincial department of commerce and BIOMA attended the closing ceremony.

Mr.JinFufang, division director from Special Commissioner’s Office in Chengdu of Ministry of Commerce extended his congratulations to the successful completion of the training course and indicated that this training course was not only learning technology but also generalizing the clean energy. Mr. LU Ping, division director from Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce extended his gratitude to all the experts and professors at BIOMA for their efforts during the course. Lu said that he hoped that participants of this course could apply the biogas technology they have learned to the agricultural and economic development of their respective countries. Li Qian, director general of BIOMAexpressed that BIOMA will continuously offer the technical support for African countries and share our biogas construction experience with them in the new stage of biogas development. He also hoped that the participants could become ambassadors for friendship between African countries and China.

BenjaminArmoohfrom Malawi delivered a speech as the participants’ representative. On behalf of all the participants, he expressed his gratitude to Ministry of Commerce of China and BIOMA for inviting them to China to learn lots of practical biogas technology and he promised that they would put the knowledge they have learned into practice to help with the development of their respective countries and insist applying the clean energyto make the world a better place.

Jin, Lu and Li awarded graduation certificates and gifts to all the participants and handed out prizes to outstanding participants for their excellent Country Report during the participants’ forum of the training course. Participant also presented gifts and a thanks letter for BIOMA.

This course is the 61th session of international training course organized by BIOMA. AndIt lasts for 45 days from May 26 to July 9, and has 31 participants from 12 African countries.
