BIOMA held Seminar on Biogas Industry Promotion and Management for Asian Countries in 2014
Organized by the Ministry of Commerce, co-organized by the Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture (BIOMA), the closing ceremony and Seminar on “Biogas Industry Promotion and Management for Asian Countries in 2014”was held in Beijing at September 15,2014. Zhang Lijian, former vice-president of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Ma Jian, program officer of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Liu Meng, director of Department of International Cooperation of CAAS and Ren Xiaobin, division director of Training and Information Research Center of BIOMA attended this ceremony, presided over by Mr. Ren Xiaobin.
Mr. Zhang of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences delivered a speech, in his speech stressed that the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences is an international science institute, he hoped that the participants who complete the workshop could carry out more exchanges and cooperation in the future, jointly promoting China and other Asian countries agricultural development. And said if participants had any suggestions for agricultural development or the institute, they could discuss with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences at any time. At last, he wished everyone a pleasant journey returned home.
Officer Ma Jian expressed that energy was a significant factor in industrialization, so this training course was beneficial for all the participants. He hoped everyone here put what they had seen and heard into practice, improving their countries development.
Mr. Wafa, from Palestinian, spoke for participants. He said that this training course offered trainees the quantity of professional information by giving lectures, doing field trips and visiting different places, which helped participants get better understandings of biogas application progress. And that participants visited many places of interest in China. Mr. Wafa thanked the Chinese people's hospitality and genuine friendliness throughout his speech, and expressed that all participants from different countries like family members together during the training. He hoped to see more cooperation on biogas field between China and other Asian countries.
It was said that the course was the 59th international training course since 1981, totally 16 participants from 9 Asian Countries attended the training. The contents covered the topics of “Biogas Development in China”, ” Process Design of Large and Medium Size Biogas Plants”, “Standard of Biogas Technology and Quality Supervision in China” and so on. During the training, participants also visited typical Biogas Projects, Biogas Enterprises and Biogas Technology Promoting Cooperatives and also conducted study tours in Yunnan Province and Beijing city.
