Dr. HE Mingxiong

 

HE Mingxiong, male, born in 1978, Doctor of Science, Doctoral Tutor, the  Professor and Deputy Director, Department of Biomass Energy Technology Research Centre, Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture(BIOMA). June 2008 Ph. D. in Biochemistry and molecular biology, College of Life Sciences, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. Dissertation: Direct Fermentation of Raw Sweet Potato Starch to Ethanol by Zymomonas mobilis. June 1999 B. S. in Biology, College of Life Sciences, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. Thesis: Purification of insecticidal proteins from Bacillus thuringiensis.

2008-Now, Biomass Energy Technology Research Centre, Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture(BIOMA), Deputy Director. In charge of Energy plant resource, Pretreatment of Lignocellulosic biomass, biorefinery, Energy organism improvement, Fermentation technology

1.   Combination of different approach increases ethanol production from mixture of glucose-xylose by recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae (from 2009-2011)

  Description of position: Organize, coordinate and implement of Saccharomyces cerevisiae improvent by genetic engineering to increase ethanol production from mixture of glucose-xylose.
