2016 Biogas China Forum was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan province on Sep8, 2016 to Sep9, 2016. This forum was jointly held by Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture, Laboratory of Development and Application of Rural Renewable Energy, Ministry of Agriculture, and International Clean Energy Sustainability & Network.

With the theme of green, innovation, cooperation and win-win result, this forum aims to promote academic advance in the biogas sector, enhance international cooperation, and facilitate biogas industry. Over 180 Representatives from 15 countries attended the meeting. About 20 experts from research institutions, universities, and enterprises made keynote speeches, having in-depth discussion about the future of biogas development in China，utilization of biogas in transportation and air treatment, and biogas technology upgrading. Representatives exchanged experience about biogas utilization in their own country and explored opportunities in international cooperation.

This forum has promoted international cooperation in biogas technology, established a platform for related research institutions and enterprises, kept track of latest trends in the industry. It has made contribution to biogas technological advance, biogas industrialization, and expanded the influence of rural renewable energy.
