On November 9, 2016, sponsored by Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Agriculture, P. R. China; organized by Foreign Economic Cooperation Center, MOA, P. R. China, “The 9th ASEAN Plus 3 (China, Japan and Korea) Forum on Biomass Energy” was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. The researchers of Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture (BIOMA) were invited to attend the forum. Associate Professor LUO Tao, Biogas Engineering Research Center of BIOMA presented the theme report on “Biogas Development and Challenge in China”, sharing his experiences and achievement of the Chinese biogas engineering construction, technological development, technical application as well as BIOMA’s role in biogas industry development. During the forum, BIOMA researchers together with the other forum delegates discussed the concerned topics on biomass energy development, utilization, and policy environment and cooperation channels.

The participants coming from the foreign countries as Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Japan etc. in additional with the domestic representatives from Chinese Academy of Agriculture Engineering, China Agricultural University, Sichuan University, Sichuan Academy of Environmental Sciences, and some of enterprise delegates from China, totally more than 60 participants presented in the forum.
