On Sep. 8, 2016, a 12-member delegation from Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand (MSTT) visited Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture (BIOMA) in Chengdu. The delegation representatives Included Mr. Somchai Tiamboonprasert, Deputy Secretary General of MSTT; Mr. Sethapan Krajangwongs, Director of the International Cooperation Division of MSTT; the other members were of some research institutions of Thailand and the staff of Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chengdu, China. First of all, the delegation visited The Laboratory of Development and Application of Rural Renewable Energy, Ministry of Agriculture, P. R. China, The Lab. of Biomass Energy Technology Research Center and The Biogas Engineering Research Center. Prof. Dend Yu, Deputy Director General of BIOMA introduced The Open Key-lab., research field and equipments of the laboratory.

Afterwards, the two sides had a discussion meeting for cooperation, Madam Cai Ping, Secretary of the Leading Party Group (BIOMA) introduced the policy on rural biogas industry and renewable energy industry as well as the good prospects for development. Prof. Deng Yu, Deputy Director General of BIOMA introduced the situation of BIOMA, technical advantages, scientific research teams, international cooperation etc. Prof. Deng Yu addressed that the biological resources were quite abundant in Thailand, where the potentiality for the development of bio-energy was great. The two sides have widely cooperative basement. Hopefully, multiple forms of international cooperation could be strengthened in the future. Furthermore, Mr. Somchai Tiamboonprasert, Deputy Secretary General of MSTT, the docking connection concerning about the scientific research institutions for both of China and Thailand could be conducted. Through the increasing cooperation, a long-term cooperative mechanism will be established.
