A biogas training project delivered by Chinese experts to 30 Lao government officials from Ministries of Agriculture and Forestry, Natural Resources and Environment, and Science and Technology Finished yesterday after beginning on June 7. The training allowed participants to boost their knowledge about biogas production as an energy source.

The programme identified challengers for its development in Laos including limited knowledge about biogas in society and distributing information about production techniques to local communities.

The training was held at Lao Front for National Construction, Vientiane with some field trips to biogas production facilities around the capital.

This programme was supported by the Ministry of Commerce in China and implemented by Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture of China.
