DDG of BIOMA Meets with Chinese Ambassador in Mauritania

 

On Oct 14, Deputy Director General of BIOMA Hu Guoquan led a team and met with Ambassador Wu Dong of the Chinese Embassy in Mauritania.Hu Guoquan introduced the 2016 Training Course on Biogas Utilization in Mauritania and expressedgratitude to Ambassador Wu Dong and the Mauritanian HusbandryTechnology DemonstrationCenter for their support to this training course.

Hu said that BIOMA attached great importance to this training and sent an experienced faculty team to Mauritania to implement this program. Under the concerted efforts of different parts, this training course has proceeded smoothly and received positivefeedback from participants. The training course lasts for 56 days, including theory presentations and practical training. It aims to help participants to master the technology and lay a foundation for the future application of biogas technology in Mauritania. Hu hoped that with the support by the Embassy and the Demonstration Center, the training can help with the hygiene and energy problems of Mauritania and raise people’s living standards.

Ambassador Wu warmly welcomed Hu and other team members. He introduced the friendly ties between China and Mauritania, the agricultural and husbandry development in Mauritania and the current situation of the Demonstration Center.

Wu highly praised this training and said that it has great significance in promoting the technological exchanges between China and Mauritania. He hoped that through the implementation of this training, biogas technology can be promoted to Mauritania and serve the people there. He hoped that BIOMA could stay in contact with the Embassy during its training in Mauritania and the Embassy would support the training.
