BIOMA held Seminar on Biogas Industry Promotion and Management for Asian Countries in 2015

 

The closing ceremony of the Seminar on Biogas Industry Promotion and Management for Asian Countries in 2015 was held in Beijing on November2. The course is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) and organized by Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture (BIOMA). Mr. YEAnping, Director General of Department of International Cooperation ofMinistry of Agriculture (MOA), Mr. LIUMeng, Director General of Department of International Cooperation of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and Ms. CAI Ping, Deputy Director General of BIOMA attended the closing ceremony and presented graduation certificates and gifts to participants.

Mr. YEAnping, Director General of Department of International Cooperation of MOA said in his speech that promoting industry of Biogas is a good direction in China these years, leading effective way to solve the problems of world food security, energy shortage and environmental disruption at present. Chinese government expects to further cooperation with developing countries in the field of biomass energy as well as build up more unofficial agriculturalcooperation channels between China and other Asian Countries in future.

Participant representative Khalid from Palestine presented acknowledge in his speech, he said that participants gained a better understanding of biogas technology and Chinese culture through this training course and developing biogas is the best way to resolve energy and environmentproblems in developing countries. This seminar was aimed to promote the development of renewable energy and environmental protection, strengthening friendships and economic and trade cooperation between China and other Asian Countries.

This seminar is the 64th session of training organized by BIOMA since its establishment. Twenty-two participants from5 Asian Countries including Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Palestine took part in this21-day seminar from Sept 8 to November2.Participants learned biogas technology and engineering design and visited typical biogas projects, and also went to Kunming of China’s southwestern Yunnan province and Beijing for study tours.
